So, Dragoncon Plans

Starfire –
I got my wig, I need to start working on it – unfortunately my wighead clamp doesn’t fit on any of our new counters or tables! D: Hopefully it will fit on the new work table I get pretty soon.
I’ve got my fabric, and I got my boots in the mail today. I order the bodysuit… and Chase has been working on the gauntlets. I’m excited.

WW –
Chase has really been working at it, while I’m at a loss for fabric, I can’t decide what I want to use for the bodice.
Speaking of which, I did find an online store that carries the classic blue/white star patten spandex – but does anyone know of another just in case that for some reason doesn’t work out? I’ve got my new boots, and this weekend I’ll be ordering my new wig.

Secret Costume –
I need a few little things, and a wig, and it’s finished.

Black Canary –
I need to add the ring to the zipper. Boots are on the way. Once they’re here I need to add the yellow straps to them, and to the gloves. And she’s done.

Glinda –
Nothing has been done! D: Fabric store visit this weekend. On the hunt for pink again, oh boy.

Dawn –
Chase and I have been tossing around ideas. I’m hoping to reuse a lot of other stuff I already have for it. Definitely my boots, and leather scraps and whatnot we’ve got around. Use up some of the stuff I’ve collected over the years.

Zatanna –
Chase said that if – IF – I have time, I can put together a Zatanna costume 😀 I’ve found a hat and a jacket I can mod, I’ve already got a vest – need to find a shirt, and shoes. This is last on my list thought, and the least important, I’m not going to break my back (or my bank) to get it finished.

Padme –
Chase asked me to put together a snowbunny Padme for the Clone Wars toys release later this month – I’ve got the materials for the cape, I was going to make one and sell one, so why not. I have a white bodysuit, I can reuse my battle belt, I’ve got gloves and boots – it’s just a matter of sitting down and putting the cape together.

“Special” Belle –
Just need to add a few things to my existing Belle 😉

And… that’s it. LOL.
Honestly I really don’t have that much sewing to do. All my costumes together are like, 65% prop work. Despite that we’ve got a lot of work to do. As usual!

Ok and for those of you playing along at home… I guess you might be wondering where my Belle remake went. We’ve known for a while now that Beast isn’t going to be done for Dragoncon, haven’t touched it in ages, but I was going to go ahead with my remake anyway. Chase didn’t realise that, and when I mentioned I was going to look for fabric this weekend, he totally made a sad face and asked if I would put it off for at least a while so he can get Beast done to wear with it. So, no remake for this Dragoncon. That’s why Chase told me if there’s time I could go ahead and do Zatanna, because he knows I’ve been wanting to do that for a while.

And can you believe no Star Wars costumes?
I have never NOT had a new Star Wars costume for Dragoncon. I guess if I do manage to finish Snowbunny I *MIGHT* take it before I sell it. Maybe not. I am probably taking slave Leia just for the group photo, but that’s it.
Also taking Scarlet Witch, Poison Ivy, and Giselle, of course.

Also – I swear, I’m not doing anything at Dragoncon this year. I’m going to do the Disney group photo, the slave Leia group photo, and the WPE Marvel photoshoot (provided they don’t get in the way of each other) and that’s it. I won’t be doing duty at any of the fan tables, I won’t be at the 501st or RL photoshoots, no costume contests… this Dcon is going to be on my own schedule, like it used to be LOL

So with all that said – back to work!!! 🙂
